Hi friends! Hope everyone had a lovely Labor Day filled with relaxation and family time! We spent the weekend doing a quick trip to Dover & Canterbury. Day 1 was our drive to the coast.. we were able to see Dover Castle and have a lovely fancy-schmancy dinner at a local seafood restaurant… I managed to find one dish I would eat (not a fan of food that swims) and accidentally ate a mackerel paté thinking it was some sort of butter. No bueno.
Dover Castle was beautiful, and our favorite part of the tour was viewing the Secret Wartime Tunnels. It was a rather gloomy/ rainy/ cold September afternoon and I won mother-of-the-year award for underdressed baby… so, socks on hands and double layered clothing it was! #englandproblems
Day 2 included a morning of recovery/ napping for all of us after a night of annoyed foot thumping (not from me, from the babe). I guess she didn’t like the hotel cot? We have a very particular little lady on our hands.
First stop was to see the gorgeous White Cliffs of Dover, Bob stroller loaded we ventured off the beaten path to find ourselves in sheep pastures along the way. Last on the itinerary was a stop in the town of Canterbury! No tales to be heard, but we did find some surprisingly delicious Mexican food. This place even had Avocado Brownies! Avocado.. sooo it’s practically a health food. Sooo I obviously got one to halfsy with the Pilot. Not sure it’s exactly Fix approved but it was made with a healthy fat, right? No guilt. Happy Labor Day! xoxo
